As 2020 wrapped up, the performance of the top Film & Television Android applications in Australia saw various trends in downloads and weekly active users. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these movements, reflecting the audience's engagement levels with these platforms.

Disney+ showed a significant increase in revenue throughout Q4, rising from $180K in late September to $272K by the end of December. Downloads peaked in the last two weeks of December, jumping to 38K from around 20K at the start of the quarter. Weekly active users also saw a rise, ending the year with over 617K active users.

Amazon Prime Video maintained a relatively stable download rate, with a slight increase to 24K in mid-October before settling around 16K by December's end. The weekly active users for Amazon Prime Video fluctuated, hitting a high of nearly 197K in late October, with a gentle decrease to 165K active users by the close of the year.

Tubi: Movies & Live TV saw a notable spike in downloads in the week leading up to December 21st, reaching over 40K compared to the approximate 12K at the quarter's start. This app's weekly active users showed an upward trend, with a sharp increase to 75K in the third week of December.

7plus experienced its highest download numbers in mid-October, with nearly 30K downloads, followed by a decline and then a moderate recovery to 12K by the end of December. The weekly active users had a peak of over 111K in late October and a slight decrease to 74K active users as Q4 closed.

Netflix, while not reporting revenue, had a steady download rate, with a noticeable increase to 18K in the week of December 21st. Weekly active users for Netflix presented a slight decline from 1.4M at the start of Q4 to approximately 1.3M in mid-December but rebounded to over 1.43M by the year's end.
